Simon Gagne was drafted 22nd overall in 1998, and he made the NHL All-Rookie Team during his first professional season with the Philadelphia Flyers in 1999. Between two different stints, he spent over a decade in Philadelphia, amassing a strong career filled with highlights that included a Stanley Cup championship appearance in 2010. One of his greatest career highlights came during Game 7 against the Boston Bruins during the Stanley Cup playoffs in 2010, where he scored the game-winning goal in the decisive game of a series that saw the Flyers come back from a 3 games to 0 deficit.
